Vajreshwari : Places to Visit Near Mumbai and Thane
If you are looking for weekend places to visit near Mumbai and Thane then Vajreshwari would be a good option. Vajreshwari is almost 2 hours from Mumbai.
Going to Vajreshwari for a solo motorcycle ride was there in my mind since last month. And finally on Tuesday, packed my bag and left home for a ride. It was a beautiful sunny day.
The tank bag which I carry, is always full of all mounts, cameras, tripods. This time I had carried 3 tripods, 6 mounts.
Like I always do before going for a ride, I had checked the vajeshwari road. It looked beautiful.
Google map showed me that , it will take 1.5 hours from my place to reach there. I also calculated the approximate distance. It was total 120-130 kms.

In this post I am going to share visual tour of Vajeshwari solo motorcycle ride. It has picture which I have not uploaded on my Instagram or Youtube or Facebook.
So Lets get started 🙂
Pre – ride Selfie
Once you come out of Mumbai there comes Fountain hotel. Its very well-known meeting and very popular in bikers.
After fountain hotel I rode for another 30 minutes. I remembered after 30 minutes I had to take a right turn.
I stopped my bike to check google map. Vodaphone mobile internet connect was too poor to load the google map.
What to do?? I asked myself.
Just 20 feet away from me there was a tea stall (chai tapari). A young lady was sitting next to it. I decided to ask her for the direction.
How to goto Vajeshwari?? I asked the lady
One aunty came outside and she helped me with the direction. I thought its a nice opportunity to ask the young lady to click my picture.
“Is it safe to click your picture?” She asked. She was particulary looking at my camera and overall appearance.
“Of course its safe to click my picture” I replied and laughed. I had to tell her why I use the camera. I told her about my youtube channel where I upload motovlogs.
Then she happily clicked this picture and later asked me for a lift. Which I politely denied 😛
This is how typical roads in Indian village look like. Trees on both the sides, beautiful sky, mountains, no traffic.
In this ride, I realised that, instead of looking to visit popular places, I really enjoy spening time on these beautiful road. Villages in Maharastra state look so amazing in Monsson. What do you think?
I wanted to visit the famous Vajreshwari temple. But the road towards it was very much crowded due to weekly market. So I changed my plan and visited this temple. This is Sai Baba Mandir in Akloli Village. There were totale three mandirs.
Out of three this is lord Rameshwar Mandir
I was in my own world busy in clicking pictures and recording a video. Suddenly a old man approched me and said you can record inside the temple as well. Slowly slowly he started giving me informtation about the mandir. He was the pujari (person who takes care of the mandir). He said this Mandir is almost 300-400 years old.
Later his wife also came. They asked me whether I work for any TV channel? I gave then details about my youtube channel. They were happy to know that, due to my video, the mandir will get more exposure.
I thanked the couple for giving sharing information with me. I was about to leave, the wife called me again.
Is it possible to ask your audience to help us? She asked
How can they help you?? My question
See if they are interested then they can do donation. Can you mention this in your video?? She asked and looked at me with eyes full of hope.
They have kept the mandir very well. Neat and clean. And to keep it like that, I know it need time, efforts and money.
So I replied, Ok I can do it.
She happily said Bye with a smile on her face.
While returning home, I decided to stop here. This spot is just 10 minutes from the Sai Baba Mandir. I thought its great to click some picture for my instagram account.

And the plan was not to just click one picture but to click tones of it.
Remember I said, I carry tripods with me? All these pictures are clicked using tripods.
What all you have to do is, find a nice spot, mount your camera on the tripod, set a nice camera angle, set a timer and then just pose.
Now adays I have stopped eating junk food. If you check my earlier motorcycle ride posts , you will come to know , how much I used to look for nice spots to eat.
Currently I have no longer eating any non-veg food. It feel so great and engergic to eat fresh fruits, fresh vdegtables. That day too I had carried my lunch wiith. An apple. You may laugh. It was my lunch.
I found this spot roadside, where a lady was selling fresh coconut water. There were some chairs to sit. No crowd, nice surrounding, I immediatly decided to stop there. Time was 2 PM and I was hunger.
Best place to chill 🙂
I got this coconut water for 40 INR. It was so tasty. Later I finished my apply in hurry as I had to reach home by 4 PM.
And it was a nice solo motorcycle ride after so long. Can you see this smile on my face?? It reflects the happiness.
