Goa, I one of my favorite places to visit in India. It has beautiful beach life, wildlife sanctuaries, crazy parties, amazing fish food..everything that makes a nice vacation if you plan it well. ‘Hotels In South Goa‘ , its a series where I give my honest experience of the stay in Goa. I hope it will help you to plan your Goa trip. Lets get started.
It was my husband, Aditya’s choice to stay at Oceanic View Resort in South Goa.
We booked this resort online and frankly speaking I did not find it great while booking it. But by considering Aditya’s great choice while selecting our stay in Phi Phi Island in Thailand, I kept quite.
Because generally his accommodation choices are good.
Where Exactly Is Oceanic View Resort in South Goa?
Location wise its quite inside. From the Goa international airport too it takes one plus hour.
From Madgoan railway station it took us one hour to reach here by cab. I was not happy to pay 800 INR (after bargaining rate) to the cab driver.
The resort is in proper village of South Goa near Palolem beach. Renting a two wheeler to explore the nearby places is must here.
My First Impressions Of Oceanic View Resort
In monsoon(rainy season), it may not look like this. Due to rains they may not keep chairs outside. This picture is taken from Booking.com
Am I the only one who feels like the resort architecture is similar to that of Greece hotels? What do you think??
As we reached, we were welcomed by the care taker couple. The couple was quite friendly and talkative.
It was July month of rainy season. Due to off season almost entire resort was empty. Expect one room was occupied by 3 foreigners.
This is the actual picture taken by us. Well, if I had set the camera angel correctly I would have come a nice one. Never mind
Small reception area where you can sit and eat as well. If you like reading then there is a small section of books to check.
Same reception area, if you are lucky then you will be welcome with the two cats with ice cold beautiful blue eyes.
and a super friendly dog, who wants to follow you where ever you go.
How Was The Accommodation??
Its a small resort, with not more than 7-8 rooms. The best part is that the entire place is peaceful. Rooms are small (yes AC is there) and neat.
No rooms have any great views. Outside room there is a common area where you can chill, enjoy food or drinks.
small passage takes you to rooms on first floor.
Hot water and locker facility was available. We did not use the TV.
Also they provide laundry service. It was something 20-25 INR per cloth.
It was small and clean. I did not enter in it. The area looked fresh and had so many coconut tress around.

The swimming pool location was perfect to click some pictures for Instagram.
Exploring The Resort Property:
Since the resort is small there is not much to explore. At the ground level they have a reception area where you can site and eat. The small bar outside reception are was closed.
small bar, outside the reception area
I like to post realistic picture on my website for you guys. These are some of the pictures clicked at night after a rainy afternoon.
way towards our room
..way towards the swimming pool..entry in swimming was allowed till 7-8 pm
How Was The Food
There was no such lunch and dinner facility. But on asking they served breakfast. For breakfast we had to pay desperately as it was not in our package.
It was a simple breakfast Omelette , boiled eggs, juices, tea.
Aditya’s egg breakfast
My veg breakfast. The white thing is called as Ghavna (its made up of rice) and the other things is Potato vegetable.
If you have a two wheeler then you can go towards Palolem beach and find more options to eat.
Do I Recommend This Hotel??
Its a budget friendly hotel to stay in South Goa. Very much closed to Palolem beach. Accommodation was basic.
My overall experience was ok type. However if you are looking for a place far away from noisy north goa locations and if you do not wish to explore much, there this is your affordable hotel to stay in south goa.
The only thing is, there are not great places to eat near this hotel. You will have to go towards Palolem beach which takes another 15 minutes by two wheeler.
I stayed here for two nights. It was this caretaker couple because of whom I got a chance to visit Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. What a amazing experience it was.
You can check the resort in my vlog below. Start watching from to if you dont wish to watch the entire vlog.
Stay Happy and stay blessed guys. Bye.
